SmartStones is our nickname for a mineral called Olivine*).
Global warming and its disastrous effects can be prevented. Technically this is stunningly simple.
Just expose carbon dioxide to olivine, the ‘natural CO2 destructor’. The challenge lies in upscaling this natural, geological process. Such “return to nature and natural methods” has not often taken place in the short history of human mankind.
Possibly of crucial importance for the future of this planet.
"Mine it, mill it, spread it !"
After a diligent technical review process covering more than 2,600 submissions, Virgin Earth Challenge has identified SmartStones as finalist in its current shortlist. Our nomination as one of the leading organizations is worldwide announced! Look here: Global Clean Energy Congress or at VEC: News and Press.
*) Wikipedia:The mineral olivine (when gem-quality also called peridot) is a magnesium iron silicate with the formula (Mg,Fe)2SiO4. It is a common mineral in the Earth's subsurface but weathers quickly on the surface.
