This is a private very nice WWI Era M1911 Campaign Hat, which has a very nice white infantry hat cord, with the correct "acorns" at the end. It shows only light wear, and is fully intact, even still retaining the chin strap. there is a size label for 6 7 8 on the rear of the sweatband, and there is another label on the felt under the sweatband with the same size. The underside of the sweatband is marked NEW YORK
