Native to Northeastern United States. Interesting bird like shaped buds open to white umbrel flowers, become edible fruits in summer or fall then leaves turn red and purple. 15 25 feet tall. Attracts many species of birds, as well as chipmunks and squirrels. It also hosts several native moth caterpillars.
