Only One Available. This is one of the scarcest pieces of Indian War field gear we have offered. This is an outstanding example of the Type 1 M1874 Haversack with a tarred canvas flap. The front is painted U. S.. Under the front flap is marked: U. S. WATERVLIET ARSENAL The interior pocket retains a large Federal eagle button marked to Scovill Mfg. Co. of Waterbury. The integral shoulder strap is in great shape with a retained buckle.
