The steel shell is stamped 87A along with a large S indicating Schlueter manufacture and dating from 1943

Now this is a lovely example of a Mid 19th Century Sword Cane, also known as a Swordstick in many European countries. There are no markings present on any component that we can find, but from the construction and comparing it to other examples, we believe this to have originated from Europe, most likely England but the lack of markings makes it difficult to pinpoint a location of manufacture.
