Original British Early 20th Century Scottish Regimental Feather Bonnet - Size 7 3/8 French Militaria something that just isn't seenOriginal Item: Only One Available. This is a genuine Scottish Regimental Feather Bonnet, as worn by Pipers, bandsmen and Buglers. These are reminiscent of the bearskins that used to be worn, but which are no longer used in service. Due to the increasing scarcity of bears, as well as the required hunting, the feather bonnets were a much more economical choice. The bonnet rather small due to age, but it is marked in ink on the liner with a size 7 3 8.
