This is a lovely Indian Wars M1874 Dyer cartridge box used by the U. S. Cavalry. This example show great service use and is still very solid. It is faintly marked on the reverse side to WATERVLIET ARSENAL. The US embossing to the front is almost entirely gone, and is only visible in certain lighting. The box features riveted belt loops on the reverse, and a wool lined inner pocket which now has some of the wool
